Thanks for contacting HCM with your concern and following is symptomwise management:
1. Since your gender is unavailable thus:
i. In females, refer to a gynecologist to rule out gynaec causes
ii. refer to an Orthopedic surgeon if no relief with routine treatment or if there is any
neurological deficiency positive
2. It could either be lumbage [low back pain],
sciatica or
sacroiliac joint dysfunction but to exclude these an appointment with the physician is essential
3. If still uncomfortable then:
. complete bed rest
. injection voveron [diclofencac]: 2cc I.M * alternate days
. tablet voveron 50 [thrice daily] after food for 7 days
. tablet
wysolone [prednisolone] 5 mg thrice daily [short course steroid]
. S.W.D. [short wave diathermy] for lumbar spine
. tablet
alprax [tranquilizer in acute phase]
4. Once the acute pain subsides:
. tablet voveron SR once daily
. tablet
osteocalcium twice daily
. back exercises to increase muscle tone:
- leg raising in dorsal recumbent position 10-20 times
- push ups
- swimming
5. General Instructions
- maintain straight back posture while standing or sitting
- avoid bending forwards & lifting weights
- sleep on hard mattress
- gentle
massage with rubifacient ointments
6. use lumbosacral belt to support the spine and prevent bending
7. One can ask for investigation like:
- Hb%, X-ray LS spine [for
osteoarthritis,
osteoporosis,
disc prolapse,TB spine]
