HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
The most common causes for
headaches are migraines, tension headaches, cluster headaches, sinus headaches, side effect of medication, illness (eg viral illness such as the flu) ,due to trauma or mass in the brain.
The last two causes are not as common as the others.
If there is no family history or previous history of migraines then this is not likely.
If there is no
nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing,
post nasal drip or
facial pain then sinus headache is also unlikely as well.
If the headache is severe and worse than any headache you would have experienced then you should be assessed to rule out serious causes.
If it is not severe, then you can consider monitoring and using pain medications to control your discomfort.
Over the counter pain killers such as
paracetamol, ibuprofen , naproxen or voltaren, may be helpful
If stronger medication is needed then you would need a prescription from your doctor.
I hope this helps
