What Causes Pain In The Lower Leg?

While trying to change a light bulb, i fell backwards off of my kitchen table hitting the stove and cabinet as i fell landed on one of the chairs which also fell backwards and had to have my son come help me up. The lower part of my right leg immediately began hurting and has already started to bruise. On a scale of 1-10 the pain is a 6 while I have it elevated and an 8 when I attempt to put any weight on it. Ive tried icing it, took some motrin and elevated it but it hasn t eased up. There are no apparent signs of a broken bone however, Should I see a dr or can I wait it out a while.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
Swelling and pain plus inability to put weight on the leg points to a possibility of an injury to the bone. It could be a linear crack. Hence better to see the doctor early. Thanks.
