What Causes Pain In The Lower Rib Area Along With Nausea And Heartburn?

I have pain in my lower rib area (sides), and nausea/heartburn. This has gone on for a couple of weeks. My heart has beat too rapidly a few times in that time frame. I thought I had pancreatitis, but lab results ruled that out. I have an endoscopy scheduled, but it is 2 weeks from today, and I am very uncomfortable.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You can help the symptoms with some antiacids that are over the counter in pharmacy or if you can access omeprazole you can take.

Meanwhile try to avoid alcohol, spicy food, smoking and anything that you notice makes you worse. Try to eat and drink in frequent small amounts.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
