What Causes Pain In The Lower Right Abdomen During Intercourse?

Hi there, in the past weeks I started to experience minor pain during sexual act I didn t worried too much as at a previous visit to my gynecologist he told me I have some small cysts that are gonna disappear by themself so I tought maybe it s because of them. But now I ve started experiencing pain pretty severe in my right lower side of the abdomen. So you think I should go for an ultrasound or something?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Yes, I think you should run a few tests to determine the right diagnosis:
- abdominal ultrasound
- urine analysis to rule out urinary tract issues
- complete blood count.

For the moment, I can only suggest to keep well hydrated and take mefenamic acid for the pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
