What Causes Pain In The Lower Right Abdomen While Having Diverticulosis?
I have had right-sided lower quadrant pain for two years, which is now getting worse. I have diverticulosis and have had my sigmoid colon removed. The pain seems to go through to my lower right back and my urine is dark and strong-smelling, particularly in the morning. CT scan shows nothing, colonoscopy shows nothing. Frustrated. Any ideas?
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Right lower abdominal pain may be caused by a number medical conditions. Some of these causes may include: -UTI -Diverticulitis.Once you have this condition, the diverticula remain for life and may at times get infected. -Other digestive infections/inflammatory bowel diseases -Gynecological problems like PID in woemen These are all conditions that may not be revealed by CT scan. Dark urine on the other hand may be caused by food, medications, medical conditions like kidney and liver disorders, extreme exercise. I will suggest you see the Doctor for evaluation and work-ups.Test like stool exam and urinalysis may be very helpful to identify the cause of your problem. Hope this will help Best regards
