What Causes Pain In The Lower Vaginal Area?

My elderly mother has been experiencing severe stabbing pain in the lower vaginal area for over two months. She has gone through 2 presc of strong 4x / day antibiotics. Once again it has returned Drs are not able to determine cause. Urine does not show blood. She had an infusion for osteoperosis in early October which seemed to trigger this problem. We are desperate!
