What Causes Pain In The Lymph Nodes After Having Spicy Food?

I ate spicy hot wings yesterday and within a couple hours my glands on the right side of my neck are painful and limit movement of my head, swallowing,and the pain is from my neck glands all the way up through nasal into my head. Pretty much while left side of neck, face, and head.

Obviously pain is from irritation. There are several connections between the throat and sinuses. Chemicals can get into the area and irritate it. It takes a while for it to work its way out. Aspirin like drugs have a small chance of helping. Counter irritation might make it better or worse. Hard to say. AN example of counter irritants would be inhaled menthol or vicks vaporub.
