What Causes Pain In The Majora Labia During 11 Weeks Of Pregnancy?
Hello. I am 30 years old and 11 weeks into my pregnancy. I am 5 1 . I have been telling my husband about this pain in my majora labia. It is at random times and has been happening the last few days only. When I am sitting, standing, or going to the bathroom. Any help would be appreciated.
Hello, Random pains are often observed in pregnancy as the vascularity to the local parts increases and so is the nerve sensitivity to small triggers. In addition, pain radiating to the labia is often related to the cervix. You would need a local examination to exclude local causes like an enlarged Bartholin's gland and check for the possibility of any cervical incompetence. A sonogram of the pelvis will disclose location of the fetus and show if there is any descent. Urinary infections also can be excluded through urinalysis. Hope this helps.
