What Causes Pain In The Middle Back Upon Sneezing?

Hi, For the past month or so I have been having severe pain when ever I sneeze to a point it takes a few minutes to catch my breath, This also happens when I bend over to pick something up from the floor. The pain is right around mid back and covers both sides. Any suggestions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The pain you explain is typical muscular pain. It is normally worse with sneezing and certain movements, as it is already happening with you.

You will need to take some paracetamol and ibuprofen daily to help with it and also make sure you do some physiotherapy to identify the aching muscle and have exercises specifically directed to the muscles that are the cause of pain in your case.

I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,

Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician.
