What Causes Pain In The Middle Of The Chest?

I woke up with a pain in the middle of my chest, like under my sternum. I thought I was hit with a stomach bug and went to the bathroom to try to throw up. I couldn t. I had a sudden heat radiate up my body and felt faint. I laid down on the cold tile for a long time trying to feel better. My legs were twitching a little. Never had that experience before.

As per your history, it looks you are having either acute esophagitis or upper gastric.

You need to visit a physician and avoid painkillers. The second reason can be associated with your heart because the post pain symptoms are not suggestive of any cardiac ailment.
