What Causes Pain In The Neck And Shoulders Upon Breathing?

I broke my left clavical 7 years ago. About 4 days ago I started having some pain in my neck which has now spread to my shoulder and right above the broken clavical. When I take a deep breath I can actually feel the pain in my shoulder. Is this related to the broken bones? Is this normal?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
though it's a long duration, There could be clavicular bone fracture malunion causing compression of blood vessels or nerves beneath the clavicular bone with decreased blood supply to shoulder and neck getting pain when you breath and as you raise shoulder.
in some cases it could be first or extra cervical rib also called thoracic inlet syndrome that can cause your pain and symptoms.
get examined by orthopedician or neurologist.
