Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The pain in neck with chronic cough suggests respiratory tract infection and inflammation of underlying mucosa with systemic manifestations.

Guidelines at present include:

- Gargles with salted lukewarm water.
- Avoid exposure to excess cold.
- Drink more liquids and maintain hydration.
- Avoid excess sugar, spices, junk foods.
- Get prescription of necessary antibiotic, decongestant with help of your family
doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
