What Causes Pain In The Pelvic Area When Diagnosed With Diverticlitis?

I have been suffering with pain k nmy left aside pelvis area for over 3 months now. Initially I was diagnosed with diverticlitis after a ct scan. I received antibiotics and other meds for treatment. The pain eased but it remains in a significant way. What can it be??

I think the pain is related to diverticulitis relapse. Please follow up with gastroenterologist if not visited yet, as might require another course of prescription antibiotics or meds.
