What Causes Pain In The Rib Cage And Coughing Up Of Blood After An Injury?

I fell a few nights ago & my face is pretty bruised. I fell onto my night table which is solid oak, & hit my face on the right side. Now I am sore by my rib cage. When I cough up flim it has a little bit of blood in it. So do I have anything to worry about?

I think you should make an X-ray examination and a blood test to evaluate your condition. Take ibuprofen to relieve pain.
