What Causes Pain In The Rib Cage On The Right Side?

good morning doctor, I got a pain on the right side of my back more towards my ribcage; it started yesterday afternoon, and hurts to move, if I take a deep breath or turn towards my left side. Should I be concerned? I am 60 years old, otherwise in good health.

Hi
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your chest wall pain.

As per you history ans symptoms it seems to me the muscle cramp in intercostal muscle.

You need to any sudden movement of the region, carry any heavy load or forced coughing. Use warm packs at the region three to four times daily for at least fifteen minutes each time.

You can also take muscle relaxants like Zerodol MR twice daily for five days after consulting your doctor.

Hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you have any further queries.

Regards
Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
