General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your pain in right rib cage on bending could be from simple muscle pull/strain, inflammation of costochondral junction, certain lung problem (pleurisy.)

A detailed physical examination, needful investigations including X-ray of the region would help to know the cause followed by specific treatment.

Please consult your family physician. Till then application of muscle relaxant ointment, over the counter pain medicine like Ibuprofen can offer some relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
