What Causes Pain In The Right Hip While Standing?

I have a pain that is not always there. It starts in my right hip if I am standing for awhile. I work at Lowes and standing is part of the job. If I sit down for 2-3 minutes all is fine. But if I continue standind the pain becomes sharper and goes down the right side of my leg all the way to to right foot. No pain in the foot, just kind of numb. Again if I sit down b4 the pain starts to radiate it goes away and I am good for 20-30 minutes. No problem sleeping or sitting in my chair. Just when I stand up for awhile

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

With the limited description provided, I am of the opinion that it could be a sciatic pain (compression of the intervertebral disc on the spinal cord). Does the pain increase on bending forward?

Get examined for sensation and power. Confirmation will be by MRI spine

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
