What Causes Pain In The Right Knee?

i was playing basketball on a freshly rewaxed floor. Stopped fast and felt an immediate pain on the outside of my right knee.No abnormal swelling . I ve iced it and taken 800 mg ibeaprofrin a day. Now I m walking ok but dont want to run or push it.what could have happened to it?
