What Causes Pain In The Right Side Of The Abdomen And Nausea?

I have been having pain in my right upper abdomen and occasionally lower right abdomen. I've not eaten much today. I feel nauseous but have not vomited. I don't know if I have a fever. I'm kind of gassy. But passing gas does not make my sx's go away.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Pain in the right side of the abdomen could be indigestion, liver inflammation/hepatiits appendicitis or gastroenteritis.
I would suggest to consult the surgeon and undergo following investigations: USG abdomen, CBC, Hb, ESR, LFT and stool examination.
Meanwhile take following advises:
Take oral semithicone and unienzyme.
Tablet metoclopramide at the bed time.
tablet acetaminophen if feeling like fever
Drink plenty of lukewarm water and take light diet in small frequent meal like banana, applesauce, rice and toast.
Hope this may help you
