What Causes Pain In The Shoulder And Arm?

My shoulder and arm are extremely painful. I do resistance exercises almost everyday. Been taking anti-inflammatory medicines and trying to keep moving it. Keeps me awake at night. If I lay on the sore arm it hurts less. Difficult to raise my arm in certain directions.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
In this query there is no mention of the age, plus whether there is diabetes, because if one has diabetes, and if it is uncontrolled then there is a possibility of a developing "frozen shoulder". This is a a chronic and painful condition. Pain is in the shoulder as well may extend to the arm. Apart from strict blood glucose control regular exercise to make the shoulder work better is essential. Pain will reduce over a period. Thanks
