What Causes Pain In The Shoulder And Neck?

I slept in an awkward position Monday night. On Tuesday my right side neck and shoulder blade area hurt. I associated it to sleeping in a weird position and stretched and rubbed the area. On Wednesday my right hand and finger tips started feeling tingly and almost numb. I also had some pain down my right arm for a short time in the evening. I still think it s due to the weird sleeping position on Monday, so I schedule and go to a massage. If it s still tingly in the morning, should I make an appointment to see my doctor?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If there is no improvement at all then you should be seen.

If there is some improvement even if it is not back to baseline (how you are normally), then you can hold off to see if further improvement occurs.

If you are not comfortable waiting, then you should be seen

I hope this helps
