What Causes Pain In The Shoulders And Arms?

What would cause pain in my shoulders and arms? For the past 3+ months, I have been getting sharp pain in my shoulders at the point where the clavicle, humerus, and scapula meet. I also have pain in my lower arm and elbow. This pain came on suddenly and has been consistent. It becomes worse at night and eases during the day. It is also painful in my upper arms to raise my arms straight out to the side sometimes. It seems my range of motion is limited. I have been taking aspirin for the pain and attempting stretching exercises.

Hello,

You might be having frozen shoulder if I am not wrong. The best treatment for that is steroid infiltration, and under anesthesia, they will correct your range of movements also so that your movements will be flexible more than before. Many people have been benefited with the procedure and its the best permanent treatment you can get for this type of condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
