What Causes Pain In The Shoulders?

I HAVE BEEN HAVING SHOLDER PAIN FOR ABOUT TWO MONTHS NOW AND NOTHING SEEMS TO HELP. A FRIEND OF OURS GAVE ME SOME ARDOSONS THAT SHE GOT IN MEXICO AND STATED THAT IT REALLY WORKS WITH PAIN AND INFLAMATION. I DO NOT TAKE ANY MEDICATION AND ONLY TAKE SUPPLEMENTS. I WAS READING ON THE SIDE EFFECTS AND THEY BAD, DO YOU THINK I SHOULD TAKE THEM OR NOT. JESSE

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I think I should tell you that the medicines that you have suggested are basically pain killers. So it might not help you to take them in the long run. When the effects subside your pain will resume. And as you mentioned, they have side effects. What would be better is to diagnose the cause of the shoulder pain first. So if you give me the details of your symptoms, investigations and treatment done so far, I may be able to help you better.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
