I have severe pain after I eat just under my sturnum. Colonoscopy normal;gastric empty study normal. Contipaton for weeks on end.no bm without strong laxatives.Feel bad constantly. Fullness heartburn nasu3au. hurts when I lay on my back. Had thoracic microdiskectom,y. Still suffer radoculopathy. Gall bladder removed 30 years.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pain in the sternum and heartburn after eating which seems to be due to gastric ulcer disease and infection of the gut leading to electrolyte imbalance in body. It could be due t o stress as stress/tension is another cause of upset stomach, heartburn and burping. Need not to worry. You should take oral rehydrating solution to maintain hydration status of body. Avoid intake of outside food. You should avoid hot, sharp and spicy food substances. I would suggest you to keep your bed elevated on head side. You should consult gastroenterologist once for proper examination. You should get upper GI endoscopy done and start treatment accordingly. Doctor may prescribe loperamide , laxative , omeprazole and antacids. =
Hope your concern has been resolved.
