What Causes Pain In The Stomach After Taking Escitalopram?
Hi I start enlift (escitalopram) 10days ago 10mg and two days ago I have had pain in my stomach seems like gastritis. I took lanzol for stomach and iam good with this.is this a side efect witch will disappear in few days or I must stop the antidepressants?

Usually a few side effects like stomach upset, irritation and gaseousness are noticed initially. As the drug is continued for some days these tend to reduce. So my suggestion is to continue the treatment. Side effects are common during first 2 weeks of the treatment, later are reduced as the system gets used to the compound. For controlling gastric symptoms Omeprazole should be quite helpful. Thanks.
