Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have dull pain in my tail bone ( no injury) it started for a couple of days back in July( hard to sit down) as if I worked out hard which I did not... went away and then came back; then reoccurred in Oct for a few days; then again last few days-- this it s like a pressure at the tail bone. I am 53 years old perimenapausal ( these days I blame everything on it LOL). I had colonoscopy at 50 years old - found small polp- cut out during ( no problem with poll) or anything after that. I do have two hemorrhoids - outside (one from each of my pregnancies) Any suggestions?

What Causes Pain In The Tail Bone?
Hello, As a first line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. The symptoms are most likely suggestive of conditions like coccalgia. If symptoms persist you can consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
