What Causes Pain In The Tailbone?

My husband is 53 years old. He is usually very active. He has been fatigued more than usual for last couple months. He also started to complain of tailbone pain for the last month or so. He can not sit for long periods of time. Tonite he states he has a lump in his perineal area. The lump is palpable, it is hard and painful when palpated. He just told me he had an episode of sharp shooting pain down bilateral groin areas to perineum that doubled him over. Could it be prostate trouble or something else. He denies any difficulty, frequency, pain, burning, bleeding or any other urinary symptoms.

having general debility and anemia routine blood urine and stool examination may be done may be fracture coxys so take mri. use hard bed take anal gesic like tab hifenac and apply volin locally.
