What Causes Pain In The Testicle While Suffering From Cold?

I have a cold. Ive had it 5 days now. Yesterday I noticed my right testicle started to hurt, and hurt a lot. Is it my coughing? I do have severe scoliosis, per sah, and people say it can cause testicular pain but ive never felt this before. What could it be? Also, the space on my right between my last lower rib and hip is burning and feels fleshy and numb

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Testicle pain can be caused by many medical conditions. One of the common causes can be testicular torsion. This pain does not seem to be related to common cold. I suggest to go at the emergency room for further evaluation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
