What Causes Pain In The Throat After Swallowing A Toothpick?

I swallowed a piece of toothpick about a year ago and I have so much pain and discomfort in my throat ever since. I have gone to a few doctors but they all say I don t have anything that it is all in my mind. Where can I go where they can really take their time and look at my throat?

Hi the toothpick probably caused a little injury that is yet to heal.
Try swallowing half tsp of boroglycerol daily very slowly so it has local effect. It might soothe the part. Liquorice will also help--regards
