Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having a lot of thumb joint pain. Instead of the cortisone injection, what about rubbing this trimcinolone acetonide cream on the area that is painful....thinking it is a cortisone too so it might work. Wondering about side effects. I used the cream on a 1st degree chemical burn (essential oil) and it worked amazing.
you can try triamcinalone injection or cream for L/A....there won't be any complications...it's just an alternative medication to cortisone....do get one x ray thumb if the pain doesn't subside...Did you have a fall or any kind of trauma...if so then get one thumb x ray done....I hope this resolved you're issue's....
