What Causes Pain In The Thumb?

I have a pain in my thumb it started yesterday. It's red right at the join on the inside of my thumb with a tiny yellow center from what I can see. My thumb is swollen & it hurts to bend it or press it on anything. I'm worried, but there are no signs of bite marks! I have no Idea what to do.

Hi,
It seems that you might be having some thing bite or some pin point injury on thumb giving this problem.
Now pus formation started giving rise yellow center at the site.
Go for one antibiotic medicine course for 3-5 days.
If yellow center spreads then remove pus with a needle, preferably by your doctor.
Ok and take care.
