What Causes Pain In The Upper Abdomen While On Amoxicillin And Clavulanate Potassium?

i have been taking Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium Tablets for about five days now to help with some infection in my mouth and this morning i am hurting down my left side and in the bottom of the left side of my back and my upper left side of my stomach. it really fills like it my be my kidneys hurting me and i want to know if the med. i have been taking is why im hurting.

Thanks for the query.

Many a times taking antibiotics can cause stomach upset and hyperacidity leading to symptoms like stomach ache, heartburn and diarrhoea..

So it is advisable to consult an Emergency room and get evaluated.

In case if it is due to antibiotics then dose can be reduced if possible and along with it medication like Pantoprazole or Omeprazole can be advised along with antacids and plenty of probiotics like Yogurt and garlic..
