Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
ive been having sever upper abdominal pain since yesterday.its not constant it comes and goes but when it hurts i get a painfull cramping sensation that lasts a few min that are so painfull and it comes with waves of nausea i cant even speak. i have a hisorty og GERD and im taking 40 mg daily of omeperazole. nothing seems to help and i dont know what else to do
I passed carefully through your question and would explain that your symptoms could be related to GERD or irritable bowel syndrome.
Coming to this point, I would recommend taking an antiemetic (metochlopramide or domperidone) and an antispastic (buscopan). If the pain persists, I recommend performing an abdominal ultrasound.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
