Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Upper intestine area feels like gas. Very painful and annoying. I had a LaQuix orange soda and a handful of pretzels about 90 minutes ago. I have taken 2 gas pills and then some pepto bismol, still no change. I rarely have soda so I am still hopeful this will change soon
There are a lot of potential causes that can cause pain in the upper abdomen. Gastritis, acid reflux, gallstones, hiatal hernia, gastroparesis and even pneumonia are some of the most common causes.
From your description, I can deduct that in your case it can be a gastric condition that causes your actual symptoms. I don't recommend to take OTC pills for your symptoms.
My advice is to consult physically your local doctor if the symptoms persist. It is necessary to do some tests like an abdominal ultrasound and some blood tests to reach the right diagnosis.
Only then you can have the right treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
