Hello I m seeking a medical advice I would appreciate it very much if someone can give me some helpful tips. I m 27 male 180 cm 85 kg I don t smoke or drink alcohol 7 months ago I started having discomfort in my stomach and a month later I started having upper abdomen pain so I went to the Gastroenterologist after an endoscopy I was diagnosed with corpus Gastritis and I was positive in H-pylori. After H-pylori eradication 7 days treatment with amoxicillin 1g and clarithomycin and pantoprazole. Still didn t feel good so I did the stool test and it came back negative in H-pylori. The doctor said that the stomach is healing but it needs some time and he prescribed me pantroprazole 40 mg once daily for a month. Even when I was taking the medication I wasn t feeling any better. Now 7 months later I still have the same symptoms is really getting me depressed cuz I never had any health issues before I do exercise regularly and only drink water and try to eat healthy. My question would be there are many causes of gastritis and I wanna make all the possible tests to find out what is actually causing it. Because I m tired of talking medication that doesn t help.
Your symptoms are nonspecific, but these may be suggestive of gastritis, GERD or hiatal hernia so you should do gastroscopy to evaluate it more accurately. This is caused by irritation of stomach mucosa by certain food or medications, stress and smoking. SO firstly it should be treated with home remedies and changing dietary habits. You need to avoid fried food, carbonated drinks, coffee, alcohol and spicy food. You should eat more milk products, vegetables and boiled food. Also, certain antiacid medications may be required such as PAntoprasole or Ranitidine. In cases of severe pain, diagnosis should be established with endoscopic tests which include gastroscopy or barium swallow test.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
