What Causes Pain In The Upper Chest Upon Pressure?

I have pain in upper chest above breast on one side. I feel very intense pain only when I cough, sneeze, sigh, hiccups. And also after sleeping all night laying down when I try to sit up. I was pushed and held down on my chest and also had to push the weight off of me. Don t know if I crushed something or strained a muscle trying to lift weight off

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your query about chest pain on pressure while coughing, sneezing, laying down, it can be due to a muscular pain which can be relieved by taking NSAID. Also it can be a cardiac abnormality symptom. I advise you to consult a physician for a proper examination and an appropriate treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jyoti Pandey
