Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 42 year old female and I started to experience pain in my wrist and hand, when the pain became unbearable I went to the emergency room I had a exray and the doctor stated that he saw arthritis in my joints and a high level of inflammation in my blood, and was told to follow up with my regular doctor. What cause these problem at my age?
The high level of inflammation (this may mean a high ESR and/or c reactive protein) would be more likely with the arthritis caused by rheumatoid, lupus, scleroderma and these type of conditions.
Your regular doctor would then likely consider additional blood tests to determine if any of these are present. There are medications that can help with this type of pain.
I hope this helps
