Neck rt arm pain wrist band thumb pain.Reduced function range of motion.Going through marriage separation allot of stress anxiety.Could it be muscle spasms.Suffered depression ocd anxiety for years on a lot medications came off them over last 4months want to become more independent and me and back to nursing.Had MRI of c6. With history, it looks like due to the nerve root entrapment at the cervical spine there are symptoms of radiating pain from neck till the thumb. Also, the MRI reports are suggestive of it.
Using a neck collar, hot water fermentation and exercise for the neck and upper limb should be helpful.
Incase the pain is more than the physiotherapist will help with ultrasound therapy for reducing the inflammation and TENS therapy for reducing the pain.
Usually, most patients in my clinical practice of over 12 years have responded well with Physiotherapy.
Research over a period of years has supported the effect of physiotherapy in cervical Radiculopathy on the positive side.
