What Causes Pain In The Wrist With History Of Ganglion Cysts?

I have ganglion cysts on both wrists that come and go. I woke up this morning and my left wrist was really painful with any movement. Feels like the cyst pain I ve had in the past but more severe. It also seems to have moved slightly from where it usually is. Tonight my skin is red where the cyst is. Is that normal for a ganglion cyst? This has never happened before. Maybe it s starting to bruise?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms seem to be related to the ganglion cyst.
I suggest using anti inflamamtory medication such as Iburpofen 400 mg to relieve the inflammation.
I also suggest using cold comppreses for local application.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
