What Causes Pain In Thigh And Hip Area?

I can't sit indian style anymore. It hurts. I never injured that area by the thigh hip area. I am 54 years old. I am taking bone medicine. Is that one of the side effects. I am inactive. Is it from that?

What kind of doctor should I see? Reumatogolist or Orthopedic? I never had arthitis and I am very healthy besides having less dense bones. I am also taking synthroid generic for Hashimoto's disease. What should I do?
