What Causes Pain In Upper Abdomen And Nausea?

Upper abdomen stomach pain almost every morning. Hurts to the point I start to sweat and feel nausea. It eventually subsides after about 15 minutes. Then as my day progresses at works it starts to hurt. Sometimes it even hurts when I lean against my stomach. Above the belly button where a surgery scar is. If I push in it I can feel a hard lump.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to gastritis which is an inflammation of the stomach lining. I suggest using Prilosec in the morning before breakfast. I also suggest using Maalox three times a day.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
