What Causes Pain In Upper Abdominal Area Radiating To Esophagus?
Hi, I have been having upper stomach cramps, pain, that have now gone up toward the esophagus. It has been three days, and I started taking over the counter Zantac yesterday, but decided to add a very low dose of Xanax ( 1/2 of the 0.25), since I know there is stress involved. The pain and cramps are in the middle of my chest. Do I need to consider other problems? I am female, 52 years old. Thank you.

Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, this could be due to acid reflex disease, if I would be treating physician of this case then I would treat this case with the medicines given bellow
1) Tab Omeprazole 40 mg once in day for three weeks
2) Tab Domperidone 30 mg once in day for three weeks
try to come out of the stress condition, everything would be fine soon, have a nice day
