What Causes Pain In Upper Back And Rib Cage Along With Dizziness?

For a week now, I have upper back pain and pain in the right side of my rib cage which increases with movement and pressure. I already know that I have problems with my back, but may have broken a rib when I was moving furniture. The pain is accompanied by nausea and dizziness upon standing, and a feeling of just not feeling well. What might this be?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If there was direct severe trauma to the rib cage then a fracture is possible , if this is not the case then the pain can be due to strain of the muscles when you lift the furniture.

This is in keeping with the pain occurring with specific movements.

Severe pain can be associated with dizziness and nausea.

I hope this helps
