What Causes Pain In Upper Back Around Shoulder With History Of Laryngopharyngeal Reflux?

I have a history of LPR. But I am having sharp pain through my upper left back around my shoulder worse than I ever have. Could this be the LPR or should I be concerned that it is cardiac? It seems to hurt worse with inhalation & ever with turning my head to left side or looking straight down. Maybe muscular then?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I suggest you to measure the blood pressure these days. I think is muscular pain. You can use paracetamol or Ibuprofen if pain disappear for some hours do not worry about. If it persists or makes worse when you walk or in effort consult with a cardiologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
