What Causes Pain In Urethra?

My urethra hurts, started this morning. I am a single female 61 years old no sexual intercourse in 3 years so that s not at issue. It does not hurt when I urinate. My bladder does not hurt as if it was infected. Do I need to see a doctor for possible antibiotics?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

You can consider monitoring for today to see if it changes unless the pain is severe, in which case , you should be seen.

Increase your fluid intake if this is an option for you (no history of heart failure or kidney failure) and use cranberry.
Use a pain killer as well to see if this helps.

I hope this helps
