What Causes Pain In Uterus While Coughing And Sneezing?
I have had an iud for about a year and 8 months. This is my third one. I woke up this morning experiencing pain in my uterus when coughing and sneezing. Throughout the day the pain became noticeable even when sitting still. I started ovulating this week but never have any uterine pain with it. I have not done any strenuous activities or major lifting. Any ideas on what is causing this?
Hello, I have gone through your query and understood the concern. With an IUD inside, this pain on exertion is a cause for concern. This is more suggestive of a displaced device. Further confirmation can be had by palpating for the threads of the loop vaginally, speculum observation, sonogram of the pelvis and an MRI of the pelvis. Please see a specialist immediately for further help. Meanwhile do not exert at all and take bed rest. Further management can be planned after investigation. The device can be removed vaginally with ultrasound guidance most often. Hope this helps.
