Anesthesiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Pain in vagina during menstruation is due to the following causes:
1) Pelvic inflammatory disease
2) Vaginitis of inflammation of vagina
3) Infection of vagina by the following like trichomonas, candida, bacterial vaginosis, and injury to vagina

It can't be a side effect of plan B. You need thorough clinical examination by a gynecologist. Only after specific diagnosis, treatment can be initiated.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
