What Causes Pain In Waist Are Below Ribs?
I have had terrible pains like cramps in my waist area just below my ribs for the last 2 nights (not in the day) it so painful can t sleep have to sit up with hot water bottle across area goes through to my back, I get this every 3 months for 1 night but this has been 2 nights

From your description, I am of the opinion that You should go for an Abdominal USG which will tell you the exact cause. Gall bladder stones, kidney stones, traumatic floating ribs are the most probable cause. In gall bladder stone typical pain starts after 1-2 hours after having a fatty meal. Till then you can take NSAIDS, painkillers such as tramadol to relieve your pain.
