What Causes Pain In Xiphoid Process Upon Palpation?

My Zyphoid process started hurtin upon palp a few days ago. Now the pain is also an inch or two to the right, but goes away for a few minutes when I palpate or push on it.... I recently started working out, and wonder if I irritated something... I drink every day.
